Our Mission

Through education, preparation, advocacy, and networking with citizen groups and emergency services organizations, FireCAP, Inc. seeks to reduce wildfire risks in the Urban/Wildland interface of Texas.

Our Vision

FireCAP, Inc. is a citizens' organization with statewide impact on reducing wildfire hazards in the Urban/Wildland interface.

How to be a Partner

FireCAP, Inc. partners with a variety of Texas organizations and individuals to accomplish its goals.

Some of FireCAP's partner organizations include: Texas Forest Service, local volunteer fire departments, Bastrop County Fire Chiefs Association, Bastrop County Commissioners Court, Travis County Fire Chiefs Association, Texas Master Naturalists, emergency services districts and local medical first responders.

Individual FireCAP Partners are volunteers who support FireCAP, Inc. in a variety of ways:

Helping put on events,
Assisting with training classes,
Completing homeowner wildfire risk assessments for your neighbors.
Aiding with vegetation assessments to determine wildfire risk, or
Helping with other tasks that reinforce our First Responder partners.

No costs, other than your time and effort, are attached to being a "FireCAP Partner".
